Cowcliffe Junior bowling team was formed by Steve Halsall (coach) and assisted by Mick Brierley and Graham Radcliffe back in 2020, both Steve, Mick and Graham are all passionate bowlers.

They were keen to pass on their knowledge of the sport with an objective to developing a new generation of crown green bowlers for the Cowcliffe club. The team play in the Huddersfield Junior League and practice during the summer on a Wednesday and Friday evening 5.30pm – 6.30pm. Fixtures are generally played on a Saturday morning through the Summer against other local junior clubs. You can see how our amazing bowlers are doing on bowls.net

The transformation Steve, Mick and Graham have made to the Cowcliffe junior team has been amazing. In 2022 the team secured the Huddersfield Junior Bowling League Championship. The club now boasts 6 junior members representing Yorkshire at a National level.

The junior crown green bowling community is alive with various competitions every week over the Summer.
